Editing a patient’s profile

When you are adding a patient either from the calendar or the patient list, you may not have entered all the necessary information of the patient. You don’t have to worry as there are two easy ways to edit a patient’s profile from their dashboard.

1. Through the Profile widget

  1. Go to the patient’s dashboard either by searching for them in the patient list (left-hand side menu > Patients) or through the search bar in the right-hand sidebar.
  2. Look for the ‘Profile’ box.
  3. Click the green ‘Edit Profile’ button.
  4. A pop-up box will appear with two tabs: Personal Information and Address. Enter all the information you need to put in the appropriate fields.
    • You may select a ‘Title’ from the first drop-down.
    • Make sure that you put a patient’s mobile number only in the mobile number field as this is used by Hippos to send SMSs.
    • Make sure that the email entered is correct as this is used by Hippos to send emails.
    • In the ‘Reminder Type’ field, you may choose Email, SMS, Both or None, depending on the patient’s preference.
    • Select the correct ‘Referring Doctor’ from the drop-down.
    • In the ‘Address Type’ field found in Address tab, you may select ‘Billing Address’ or ‘Home Address’.
  5. When done, click the green ‘Update Patient’ button.

2. Through the Profile tab

  1. Go to the patient’s dashboard either by searching for them in the patient list (left-hand side menu > Patients) or through the search bar in the right-hand sidebar.
  2. Click the Profile tab in the top menu.
  3. Look for the dark purple row at the bottom of the screen and click ‘Edit Details’.
  4. A pop-up box will appear with two tabs: Personal Information and Address. Enter all the information you need to put in the appropriate fields.
    • You may select a ‘Title’ from the first drop-down.
    • Make sure that you put a patient’s mobile number only in the mobile number field as this is used by Hippos to send SMSs.
    • Make sure that the email entered is correct as this is used by Hippos to send emails.
    • In the ‘Reminder Type’ field, you may choose Email, SMS, Both or None, depending on the patient’s preference.
